At long last, it’s time we rip off our socks and remember what color we painted our toenails last! Warmer weather allows us to move our clunky boots to the back of the closet and rotate in the shoes from last summer… ratty and smelling and grass stained… Maybe it’s time for another pair or two.

The open toe bootie with a chunky heel

Perfect for when you want spice up a casual look or need to stay on the formal side, this shoe spans the range of tee shirt dresses to outdoor evening wear and everything in between. The sturdy, chunky heel provides extra stability to newer “heel walkers” or for events with little sitting time. We specifically prefer a more terracotta brown, as it complements the colors we tend to wear the most throughout the season: light greys, pinks, greens and whites.

The open toe, open back sandal

Go sockless! These sandals are perfect for your summer events that pertain to lots of walking, walking, walking! Perfect for at the pool with your friends and at that music festival you’ve been waiting for all year. When it comes to this shoe, don’t be all worked up about name brand. Name brand (the darker brown) and off brand (lighter grey/brown) really only differ when it comes to logo and price. Either way, these sandals are durable, dependable, and definitely a summertime favorite.

The tennis shoe

Need those toes covered? No worries! The tennis shoe has got your back. An easy go to for all seasons, tennis shoes are sometimes forgotten during the summer months. However, hiking in sandals is a no go, so we wanted to include this pair in the mix. Though featured sockless, for an “athleisure” look, socks can be added for all your big, crazy, summertime adventures!

The gladiator sandal

Gone are the days of ancient Greece, but we can still wear the look! Gladiator sandals are clean, simple and different with the ability to be worn both casually and formally. The lighter color in the featured image provides a more modern take on a classic-- or, ancient-- shoe.
