jingle bells, homework smells // christmas playlist

No matter if you enthusiastically turn on the Christmas tunes November 1st, or strongly oppose the sound until after Thanksgiving, it's officially December which means Christmas is just around the corner.

Wonderful Christmastime

{PAUL McCARTNEY}

This has been my absolute favorite Christmas song for quite some time. I love the different feel to it, as this song gives your brain a small break from the traditional Christmas music sounds. With some awesome parts to sing along with and attempt to harmonize to with friends, this song holds a ton of holiday spirit!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year

{ANDY WILLIAMS}

With a convincing title, this classic tune will put a smile on your face no matter what. Just listening to it makes me think of sitting by the fireplace after a fun afternoon in the snow, sipping on a cup of hot cocoa as the Christmas tree helps to illuminate the room. I guess it truly is the hap-happieset season of all!

Let it Snow! Let it Snow! Let it Snow!

{FRANK SINATRA}

I understand how tiresome snow can get, but there is such a wonder to the chilly crystals that float down from the sky. This song reminds me of building snowmen, snow forts, skiing, ice skating, and even snow fights... but it also reminds me that sometimes there's nothing better than staying inside, cozying up with friends and family, and just letting it snow!

Rockin' Around the

Christmas Tree

{BRENDA LEE}

This song takes me way back to Disney's Christmas VHS tapes and a particular scene when Mickey and Minnie are trimming their tree. Harmonious with a holiday swing, this song is a must if you are hosting any sort of party this winter.

It's Beginning to Look Like Christmas

{BING CROSBY}

The title of this song perfectly captures the look of every store the split second after Thanksgiving (or earlier *cough* Hobby Lobby *cough*). It has a really traditional, "record player" sound, which is perfect for decorating the tree and attempting some Christmas crafts.

No matter if you only play Christmas tunes on the 25th, or if you're already pumping them up in July, this playlist can push even the grumpiest grinches into the Christmas spirit. Check out my playlist for yourself by clicking this link.
