As many fellow musicians can attest, there's something so satisfying about playing music with your best friend. Together, we conjured our own version of this song with our ukuleles because we thought that the higher tones would perfectly complement the song's themes. Take a look at our cover of "Flowers in Your Hair":
2 // snapshot scene // Em
If you are a lover of words like me, you should totally look into creative writing. Abi and I both love to construct short stories and snapshot scenes when we feel particularly inspired. The earthy colors I imagined to pair with this song drew me to create a natural setting, while the sporadic harmony pulled me to conjure an emotionally charged scene. "Flowers in Your Hair" plays with contrasts at the end of each verse, so I decided to make contrast a large part of my snapshot scene as well-- not only in the words themselves, but in structure, as I wrote in a simple yet poetic form with a calm yet flustered tone. Thus, enjoy my snapshot scene inspired by "Flowers in Your Hair" entitled "Be Still, My Heart":

3 // bullet journal spread // Abi
Why not throw in some color? This song inspired me to create a bullet journal spread full of soft pinks and spunky yellows, as well as a few quotes that I thought fit perfectly.

Maybe you aren't musical, you hate to write and doodling just isn't your thing... are there still other ways you can show your creativity? YES! Fashion is such a fun way to experiment with new colors and textures. For this look, I paired sharp yellow linen shorts with a delicate lacy top... two pieces that both contrast and complement each other, just like the song lyrics in "Flowers in Your Hair".
